Purpose
The purpose of this article is to provide clear ordered steps for users of PowerShell Pro Tools and to submit them to Ironman Software (typically for a support case).
Background
Having logs from PowerShell Pro Tools is typically needed to assist with troubleshooting issues. Providing a quality bug report can help to speed up the time to resolution.
PowerShell Pro Tools for Visual Studio will automatically write log files to %APPDATA%\PowerShell Tools for Visual Studio. Please include all log files in the directory as part of a ZIP file.
PowerShell Pro Tools for Visual Studio Code logs to the VS Code output pane. Click the Output pane tab, typically located on the bottom section of the editor. Within the drop down, select PowerShell Pro Tools.
You can either copy and paste the content or click the Open Output in Editor option to view the log file directly.
