KB3001 - How do I install license for Posh Pro Tools for VS Code

Standard Method


After the extension is installed, you will be presented with a menu similar to the screenshot below.


(figure shows the Install License button after installing the extension)


2. Click Install License and select your license.txt (or similarly named file) from the dialog.

3. Once the license is loaded, the product should indicate that it is licensed.


(figure shows both the initial unlicensed warning pop-up and the licensed pop-up that follows installation of the license)


PowerShell Method


Install-PoshProToolsLicense from the PowerShell Pro Tools PowerShell module may be used. See the Downloads page for more information.

Manual Method


You may also copy/paste the entire contents of your licence.txt file into the extension settings per below.

Final Notes


1. It's always a good practice to restart an application after making a significant change to the configuration (e.g. going from unlicensed mode to licensed mode).
