KB - 1008 Tax/VAT Exempt at checkout

Scope

In this article you will learn how to make a tax-free purchase at checkout.

Problem

How do you remove the Tax/VAT on an order?

Impact

Orders will then need to be refunded for tax if processed without the tax deducted.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to remove Tax/VAT at checkout.

1. At your checkout screen look for the blue text Tax Exempt (U.S. residents) or Enter VAT ID (International).

2. When you select Tax Exempt you will get a screen pop up. Enter your Tax ID and State for U.S. residents, or your VAT ID for international residents.

3. After you apply your Tax/VAT ID you will notice the tax has been removed. (U.S. Residents no tax is shown at checkout, and it will show 0 tax after your payment option has been chosen)
